About The Artist

Hi! My name is Iago and I was born and raised in the Philippines, and then in 2007 I moved to the United States to pursue and live a creative life. Fast forward to 2020, I met my wife, she is from Romania, then meeting her dad Serban who found me as his protégé and taught me all the ways of the ancient traditional art of silver casting and crafting, which for him was a hobby of more than 30 years. The wisdom and knowledge passed on to me is priceless. This is my journey, my life story, and adventures, which I am thrilled to share with you.

Life with its own twists and turns, armed with the undying belief in myself, I left my country to pursue a creative life full of freedom, adventure and magick. From painting houses to working in kitchens, to managing a cafe, to being a bartender, then modeling and acting, no matter what endeavor, creativity was always calling me. The practice of living fully in the moment, to be constantly inspired, and the unquenchable thirst for knowledge and wisdom, all the tools I needed to stay on the road less travelled that is most rewarding...and rewarding it was indeed.

I have always been an artist at heart, and I believe all of us are, my memories of waking up from the smell of oil painting, coffee, and cigarettes from my mom while she's been painting for days without sleeping just to finish a canvas. At a young age I knew what an artist was like, a tremendous love and passion for creativity, beauty, for growth, for nature, and a courageous spirit to go against the grain, but along with it many sacrifices have to be made. Either you are born in it, or life teaches you the ways..I had both worlds and am fortunate to have the influence of amazing artists in my life. IAGO ATELIER is what you may call an extension of myself, life's treasures imbued in every creation I make, may it accompany you and inspire you throughout your journey in this amazing game we call...life.
